TORONTO – Police are seeking public help to identify a suspect in a possible hate crime, after a woman wearing a hijab was attacked in Scarborough Thursday.
Police say the woman was riding the Scarborough LRT when a female passenger pulled on the woman’s hijab, kicked her and began yelling profanities at her.

They both exited the train, where the alleged assailant continued uttering racial slurs, police said.
The suspect is described as 20 to 30 years old, standing 5’5″, with shoulder-length dark hair.
She was wearing dark-framed prescription glasses, a blue bomber-style winter jacket, skinny jeans, and black shoes. She was also carrying a beige purse.
Anyone with information is asked to call Toronto police or Crime Stoppers.
