84-year-old woman drives car into N.S. drug store

HALIFAX — No charges have been laid after an elderly woman drove her car through the front window of a drug store in Nova Scotia.

Colchester County RCMP, the Cobequid Fire Department and EHS were called to the Shopper’s Drug Mart in Lower Truro around 3 o’clock Saturday afternoon after a car went through the front window of the store.

Police say the driver, an 84-year-old woman, was the only occupant in the vehicle. There were no injuries as a result of the crash.

The investigation into exactly what led the woman to drive her car through the window is ongoing. Police say no charges are expected at this time.
