SCUGOG, Ont. – A man is in hospital with serious injuries after a small aircraft crashed in Scugog Saturday afternoon.
Durham police say the single-engine plane crashed around 12:45 near Greenbank airport, approximately 30 kilometres northwest of Oshawa.

The 61-year-old pilot was transported to nearby Port Perry, then airlifted to Toronto’s Sunnybrook hospital.
An investigator from the Transportation Safety Board is investigating the cause of the crash.
