Air France flight diverted to Montreal after ‘anonymous threat’

MONTREAL – An Air France flight from San Francisco to Paris was diverted to Montreal after an anonymous threat.

In a series of tweets, the airline stated Air France Flight 83 landed just before midnight at Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport “as a precaution.”

All 231 passengers and 15 crew members were taken off the plane and put in parked buses.

They were run through a security screening before being put back on the plane around 4:30 a.m.

Last month, two Paris-bound Air France flights from the U.S. were diverted because of bomb threats, with one jet making an emergency landing in Halifax.
