EDMONTON — A 25-year-old Maskwacis woman has died of her injuries after she was found seriously injured on a gravel road in a rural area of the Samson Cree First Nation.
The woman, who RCMP originally thought was a teenager, has been identified as Christy Ramone Crane.
Crane was found sometime early Sunday morning. She was taken to hospital with serious injuries where she died overnight.
RCMP are investigating, but said at this time it’s not known if her death is criminal in nature.
An autopsy has been scheduled for Tuesday in Edmonton.

The Samson Cree First Nation is located about 95 kilometres south of Edmonton.
