Police uncover ‘store’ of stolen goods after London, Ont. raid seizes shotgun, drugs

Police seized a shotgun, drugs and a store filled with stolen goods in a raid in London on Thursday.

TORONTO — Police uncovered a “store” containing thousands of dollars worth of stolen property after a raid in London, Ont. led to two arrests and the seizure of guns, drugs and money.

Investigators with the London police Guns and Drugs section and the Emergency Response Unit executed a raid at a residence on Brydges Street on Thursday.

Police seized numerous items including a Remington sawed-off pump-action shotgun, 21 shotgun rounds, $2,573 in cash, 302 grams of marijuana, 14.1 grams of marijuana resin or “shatter” and various types of medications including Dilaudid, hydromorphone and Ritalin.

James Parsons 29, and Jade Morningstar, 22, both of London, have been charged with two counts of possession of a Schedule II substance and numerous firearms offences.

James Parsons has also be charged with two counts of possession of a Schedule I substance and two counts of possession of a Schedule III substance.

Police said while investigating the property they located a small shed containing a small store containing thousands of dollars of stolen property; including two utility trailers, numerous bikes, power tools, electronics, expensive clothing and cologne.

Police say the investigation into the stolen property is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact London police or Crime Stoppers.
