One man killed, another airlifted to hospital after fatal vehicle collision

HOLDFAST, Sask. – One man is dead after a fatal vehicle collision Saturday evening.

Craik RCMP responded to a two-vehicle collision on Highway 2 at approximately 6:15 p.m. CT.

Police say two cars collided head-on. The male driver of the vehicle heading southbound was killed in the collision. He was the lone occupant of the vehicle.

The lone driver in the northbound vehicle, also male, sustained serious injuries and was transported to hospital in Regina by STARS air ambulance.

RCMP have not released the name of the deceased at this time.

Police say an investigation is ongoing. Highway 2 has been reopened to traffic and is flowing normally.
