First week of Shaw’s Fill the Food Bank in Saskatoon nets almost 3,900 lbs of food

The Saskatoon portion of Shaw’s Fill the Food Bank campaign is off to a great start, with almost 3,900 pounds of food donated in the first week.

During the first week of the campaign, 3,865 pounds of food were dropped off at the six Safeway locations in the city.

The local campaign is part of a country-wide initiative by Shaw to raise millions of pounds in food donations for Canada’s food banks.

Along with food donations, a video was released last Thursday on YouTube to help raise funds and food.

Each time the video is viewed on YouTube, Shaw Communications will donate one dollar to the campaign up to $250,000 and Campbell Canada will donate one pound of food up to 250,000 pounds.
