TORONTO – The owner of a swim club in Ajax has been arrested in connection to an alleged sexual assault of a teenage girl.
Durham Regional Police said an investigation was launched in August after the victim came forward and reported the sexual assault which occurred in 2011.
Police said the girl was a member of the Ajax Swimming club in which the accused was owner and CEO.

He was arrested on Tuesday and has been identified as 35-year-old Matthew Bell.
He has been charged with four counts of luring a person under 18 years, one count of sexual assault and one count of sexual exploitation.
According to the swim club’s website, Bell was entering his 9th season as head coach and is also a member of the Town of Ajax Recreation and Culture Advisory Committee.
