Dozens left homeless after fire rips through Whistler townhouses

Dozens of people have been left homeless after a fire at a townhouse complex in Whistler.

Flames broke out on Tuesday morning at the Alpine House and fire crews worked all day to contain it.

At least 10 units are destroyed, but luckily everyone was able to make it out safely.

An excavator eventually had to be brought in to pull down the building.

Those affected by the fire are being asked to go to the reception centre at the Meadow Park Sports Centre at 8625 Highway 99.
