Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and his Liberal cabinet were sworn in at Rideau Hall in Ottawa on Wednesday.
Highlighted by fall colours, Trudeau and his ministers arrived at Rideau Hall for a formal 90-minute ceremony of the swearing-in of Canada’s new government.
Crowds lined the long driveway of the Governor General’s residence to greet Canada’s 23rd prime minister, his family and newly sworn-in ministers.
Bagpipes played as Trudeau and his wife, Sophie Gregoire-Trudeau, and their three children waved to an excited crowd of well-wishers.
Several of Trudeau’s ministers followed behind him, including Marc Garneau, Kirsty Duncan, Carolyn Bennett, Harjit Singh Sajjan among others.
