KELOWNA – A Kelowna man has been charged in a cold-case homicide in Alberta involving a two-year-old boy.
On the afternoon of December 5th 2005, emergency responders were called to a Calgary residence where the child was in medical distress.
Blake Harvey died three days later in hospital.
The toddler’s caregiver claimed Harvey had fallen down stairs but police say an autopsy determined the injuries were not consistent with that scenario.
Ryan John Podhorodecki, 32, of Kelowna was arrested Thursday in Victoria.
Podhorodecki has been taken to Calgary to face a charge of manslaughter.
