‘Today is the day we bury my family’: Jennifer Neville-Lake posts heartbreaking video

TORONTO – The mother of three kids killed in an alleged drunk-driving incident issued a statement online Saturday with a video showing her children practicing a dance routine for their parents’ upcoming anniversary.

Jennifer Neville-Lake’s three children – nine-year-old Daniel, five-year-old Harry and two-year-old Milly – were killed in a collision on September 27 in Vaughan, Ont., six days before their parents’ 10th anniversary. Grandfather Gary Neville, 65, was also killed in the crash.

The family held a funeral on October 4, but delayed the actual burial until Neville-Lake’s mother was well enough to attend.

“Today is the day we bury my family,” Jennifer Neville-Lake wrote on Facebook. “Ed’s and my hopes for the future, our legacy and our dreams will be committed to the ground for eternity along with my father who was the ‘patriarch’ of my family.

“Ed and I celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary looking at the caskets full of our broken and stolen dreams. But our day was supposed to have another beginning and I came across the video that shows it.”

She included a video that shows the three kids practicing a dance routine that “shows the personalities of each of them.”

 

Marco Muzzo, 29, faces 12 impaired-driving offences and six charges related to the dangerous operation of a motor vehicle. His bail hearing is scheduled for November 12.
