Cell phone footage shows a woman give birth to a baby on a China Airlines plane, 30,000 feet up in the air.
The flight was only six hours into its 19-hour journey from Bali to Los Angeles last Wednesday when the woman’s water broke, according to The China Post.
The woman, whom the newspaper says is Taiwanese, was only 32 weeks pregnant and was therefore allowed to board the flight in accordance with the airline’s policy. A full term pregnancy is usually 40 weeks long.

A doctor happened to be on the same flight and helped the woman safely deliver her daughter 30 minutes before the plane made an emergency landing in Anchorage, Alaska.
Passenger Amira Rajput filmed the commotion as flight crew held the baby in a blanket and wiped it down with paper towels.
“It’s a once-in-a-lifetime thing!” a woman can be heard saying in the video, which has garnered over 410,000 views since Friday.
The mother and baby, who are reported to be in good health, were taken to an Anchorage hospital where China Airlines staff met her to deliver their well wishes.
The China Post reported that the baby’s nationality will be determined by the birth certificate issued at the hospital in Anchorage.
