UPDATE: RCMP believe 1 of Alberta fire victims deliberately set house ablaze
CALGARY – RCMP confirmed Monday evening that two bodies were found inside a burnt out home in Vulcan.
Fire crews and RCMP responded to a house fire call shortly after 7 a.m. Monday involving a single-family home.
“There was smoke billowing out of the house across the street here, but I couldn’t see anybody. But I could still hear the pounding going on,” said Lawrence Johnson. “It didn’t burn through, it blew through. It blew through in at least three different places at the time.”

Earlier in the day, it was reported that the homeowners were missing. Neighbours said a common-law couple called the place home. RCMP said Monday night they could not confirm the identities of the deceased.
Donna Heron, who lives next door, said she was scared.
“My first thing was, were they in there?” she wondered of the residents. “Where are they?”
