HALIFAX – Imagine showing up at a Tim Hortons Drive Thru window and seeing Sidney Crosby peek his head out with your double-double.
That’s just what you’ll see in the newest commercials put out by the Canadian coffee chain that features Sidney Crosby and Nathan MacKinnon.
Sid & Nate might be hockey stars, but at Tim’s they’re ‘drive-thru rookies’ in training, serving customers and trying to keep their cool when customers pronounce words like “jalapeno” wrong.
The two hockey stars, both from Cole Harbour, shot the commercials at a Dartmouth Tim Hortons location in July, surprising customers with handshakes and free coffees when they drove up to the window.
There’s an entire playlist of their cheeky and fun interactions with customers featured on Youtube, along with the actual commercial.
