EDMONTON — A 29-year-old man is facing charges after a 15-year-old girl was allegedly sexually assaulted in his vehicle.
Police said the incident happened more than a year ago, on July 12, 2014.
The teenager was walking in the area of 118 Avenue, just east of Coliseum, when a man driving a brown Toyota Camry offered her a ride.
It was reported that she went inside the man’s vehicle and that’s where she was allegedly sexually assaulted.
The Child Protection Section investigated and was able to identify the suspect.
On Aug. 17, 2015, James Armour, 29, was charged with sexual assault and sexual interference.
Police released photos of Armour because “investigators believe there may be other complainants and witnesses who may have information about this or other matters.”
They said Armour has been known to change his appearance.
He is scheduled to speak to bail on Friday, Sept. 11.
