A British weatherman is making news Wednesday for nailing the pronunciation of a town’s name. Seems simple, right?
The town name: Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch.
Welsh weather presenter Liam Dutton mentioned the town of just over 3,000 people during his weather report Wednesday.

For those wondering, it rose to 21 degrees Celsius in Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch, according to Dutton.
The BBC wrote a profile of the town in 2012 because of its name, saying the 58-letter town name means “St Mary’s Church in the hollow of the white hazel near a rapid whirlpool and the Church of Saint Tysilio of the red cave” and is – not surprisingly – one of the longest place names in the world.
But it’s not the only time the beautiful complexity of Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch’s name has been made light of on the Internet and in media.
British actress Naomi Watts lived there for a short time and flawlessly pronounced the name of the town while on the Jimmy Kimmel show, who said it sounds like a “prank.”
