Woman found dead in Waterdown, Ont. was smothered to death: police

TORONTO — Hamilton police say a woman found dead in Waterdown, Ont. was smothered to death, after family members contacted police when they were unable to get a hold of their relatives.

Police said they were contacted by family on Thursday, after they could not locate their relatives whom resided at 44 Riley St. in Waterdown.

Several attempts by officers to locate the couple were unsuccessful and they forced their way into the residence.

Police then found two people dead inside the home, who have been identified as Lori Constable and Wayne Constable, both 55 and both of Waterdown.

Autopsies were conducted on Saturday and police determined Lori Constable died as a result of being smothered.

Investigators said the immediate cause of Wayne Constable’s death has not been determined, pending further toxicological examination.

Police are not looking for any further suspects in Lori Constable’s death.
