Emerald Ash Borer finds its way to Île-Perrot

ÎLE-PERROT – According to a report by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency, the pesky Emerald Ash Borer (EAB) has found its way to Île-Perrot.

The organization confirmed the presence of the insect on several trees in the town of Pincourt.

The town said there is a risk the insect will soon spread across the entire municipality.

Infected trees need to be cut down, but that requires a permit.

Not to mention, this can only be done during the winter months to avoid the insect from spreading.
