The mother — identified as J.P. in court documents — won a lawsuit against the province after social workers let her estranged husband molest their toddler in foster care.

The government is appealing.

Former senior civil servant Bob Plecas is also reviewing the case, but J.P. has filed a complaint saying the Ministry of Child and Family Development cannot share her information with him.

Documents show the mother wants assurances that no one, including Plecas or the province, will see her family’s information.
