Boundaries: Generally comprises all areas of Brampton south of Queen Street and west of Main Street, but also includes Peel Village to the east. Also includes a small piece that used to be part of Mississauga-Brampton South.
Last Election: Had this riding existed in the last election, the Conservatives would have taken it with 45.4 per cent of the vote, followed by the Liberals with 35.4 per cent (based on polling results).

History: Prior to last election, Brampton had solely elected Liberal MPs since 1993. However, last election, the Conservatives won all three seats.
Demographics: 35.5 per cent of people said they were South Asian in the 2011 National Household Survey, the fifth highest number in Canada. 19 per cent of people also said they were Sikh, the sixth highest in Canada.
