Boundaries: The riding runs along Highway 407 to the south, stretching as far north as Williams Parkway and Highway 7. Its eastern boundary is Highway 7, while its western border is mostly Highway 10, not including Peel Village.
Last Election: This is a new seat created from Brampton-Springdale (which elected Conservative MP Parm Gill by 20.4 per cent in 2011) and Bramalea-Gore-Malton (which elected Gosal by 539 votes over the NDP candidate in 2011).
Had this riding existed in the last election, the Conservatives would have taken it by 21 per cent more votes than the Liberals (based on polling results).
History: Prior to last election, Brampton had solely elected Liberal MPs since 1993. However, last election the Conservatives won all three seats.
Demographics: 26.1 per cent of people identify as South Asian, the 11th highest number in Ontario.
