EDMONTON — A 32-year-old Edmonton woman has been charged with several offences in connection with the sale of fraudulent Taylor Swift concert tickets.

On Tuesday night, several concert-goers were turned away at the doors of Rexall Place because their tickets had already been scanned into the building.

Edmonton police said Wednesday they were investigating 10 reports of fraudulent tickets. On Friday, officers said they connected six of the reports to Beckie Junkins.

Police said Junkins posted the tickets for sale on Facebook and Kijiji and made arrangements to meet the buyers in person. Between May 4 and July 27, officers allege Junkins met six people and exchanged the tickets for money. Many of the tickets were copies of the same seats, according to the EPS.

Police said Junkins was also in possession of duplicate tickets for other events, including the Mumford & Sons concert, the Foo Fighters concert and the Eric Church concert.

Anyone who may have purchased event tickets from Junkins is asked to go to a police station and provide a statement.
