The collision happened around 1:45 p.m. between Exit 6 near Windsor and Exit 7 near Falmouth. In a news release, RCMP said preliminary reports show that the SUV was rear ended.
It was the second accident on that stretch of highway Friday afternoon.
At 1 p.m., RCMP were called to Exit 7, where a transport truck hauling an excavator hit the overpass. Debris from the overpass then fell onto another vehicle travelling behind the transport truck.
No one was injured, but police say the overpass appears to have been significantly damaged.
