THE FORKS, Maine – Authorities are investigating the deaths of two Quebecers who were killed in a car crash in Maine.
Police said Martin Poulin and Francine Dumas, of Saint-Georges, Que., were found in their car in West Forks Plantation by family members Tuesday afternoon.
They said the couple, both 58, were on their way to New Hampshire for a wedding when their car, travelling south on a two-lane highway, went off the road and struck a tree.
Police said the tree fell onto the car, hiding the wreck from plain view.
They believe the crash occurred on July 28.
Relatives filed an official missing person’s report Tuesday after the couple failed to arrive in New Hampshire.
