Summary: A sprawling riding with several high-profile candidates, West Vancouver-Sunshine Coast-Sea to Sky Country is considered a riding to watch in this year’s election.

Boundaries: An large, diverse riding on B.C.’s west coast, West Vancouver-Sunshine Coast-Sea to Sky Country includes all of West Vancouver, Bowen Island, the Sunshine Coast from Gibsons to Nelson Island, and all the towns along the Sea-to-Sky Highway until Joffre Lakes Provincial Park.

Last Election: John Weston took this riding over NDP candidate Terry Platt by 22.1 per cent to win his second term.

History: Blair Wilson won this seat for the Liberal Party in 2006, but otherwise the region has supported right-wing candidates since 1974.

Demographics: The average income is $57,554, the second highest in the province.
