He also carried a clutch purse.

It’s not clear why Skarsgård decided to do drag. In the movie, he plays the boyfriend of Kristin Wiig’s character, who has an affair with her daughter.

The actor, who plays the title character in next summer’s Tarzan, portrayed a drag queen in the 2006 Swedish film Kill Your Darlings.

In a 2011 public service announcement, Skarsgård said: “We have to teach our children, not only by our words but by our actions, that every human being has equal value and to bully someone or for society to discriminate against someone because they have a different sexual orientation is unacceptable.”
