TORONTO – The Rogers Centre has cracked the top 10 list for the priciest cup of beer for a Toronto Blue Jays game in comparison to other Major League Baseball stadiums across the United States.
A MLB Fan Cost Index report for 2015 indicates the price (in U.S. dollars) of the “cheapest small beer available” in Toronto is the seventh most expensive at $6.79 for 14oz.
Fenway Park in Boston charges the most at $7.75 for 12oz, followed by Wrigley Field in Chicago at $7.75 for 16oz and Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia with $7.75 for 21oz.
The Minnesota Twins ($7.50 for 20oz) and the Atlanta Braves ($7.25 for 16oz) round out the top 5.
The study, which examines the average cost of attending a MLB game, was released by a U.S.-based sports marketing and publishing company called the Team Marketing Report.

The Cost Index also broke down the cheapest beer by the ounce with the Los Angeles Angels taking the title with a measly 28 cents per ounce compared to Toronto in 25th place with 49 cents per ounce.
The report also found the average MLB ticket increased by 3.3 per cent to $28.94 for the 2015 season.
Meanwhile, the average price to take a family of four to a game, increased by 2.5 percent to $211.68.
This includes four non-premium season tickets, two beers, four soft drinks, four hot dogs, parking and two adult-size hats.
