The Thompson-Nicola Regional District issued an Evacuation Alert due to a wildfire burning at the north end of Adams Lake, southeast of Clearwater on July 21. The order was rescinded on July 23.
The alert area covered six properties at Adams Lake, the north end of Adams Lake, including 12400, 12504, 12505, 12595, 12680 and 12685 Adams West Forest Service Road.
The fire was estimated to be about 30 hectares in size. It is believed to have been caused by lightning.
An evacuation alert is also in place for 24 properties southeast of Ashcroft where a 250 hectare wildfire is currently burning.
