Kristi Gordon gives viewers a look at life with baby Braden

WATCH: Two weeks after the arrival of her little bundle of joy, we catch up with Kristi Gordon and her family as they adjust to life with newborn baby Braden. Elaine Yong reports.

Global BC‘s Kristi Gordon is giving us a glimpse at what life is like with baby Braden, who is about two weeks old.

“A bit of survival mode still,” says Gordon, laughing. “He’s a really good baby. Compared to Jordan, he’s much more calm and he doesn’t make a lot of noise, so we’re pretty lucky so far.”

Big brother Jordan is pretty excited about his new baby brother. “He calls him ‘my baby’,” says Gordon. “‘How’s my baby doing?'”

She says while it has been a busy two weeks, husband Paul has been home the entire time. Starting on Monday, he goes back to work.

“I really was nervous last time,” says Gordon. “And I still don’t know what I’m doing. I’ve had to call my midwife almost everyday with questions.”

She says she is a little more relaxed this time around.

“Each little noise doesn’t mean you have to pick him up,” she says.

When Gordon was pregnant with Braden, you might remember her sharing some of the hate mail she received from viewers criticizing her for her choice of attire.

She was overwhelmed by the responses, both positive and negative, and says she has moved on from that already.

“Yes there was stuff that was negative and unfortunate that I had to deal with, receiving some of these emails, but on the other hand I think it brought up a really good subject that people started talking about,” says Gordon. “In being more compassionate to people that are going through pregnancy in the workforce, or having to deal with the change in your body and stuff like that.”

“So I don’t have a ton of bad feelings towards what happened. It was an interesting time and I didn’t expect to deal with it at all.”

WATCH: Kristi Gordon talks to Elaine Yong about life after the storm surrounding her pregnancy and how she feels about those comments now.

She says she has saved some of the positive and negative emails. “I just think it was so interesting how, so weird, interesting, how people were emotionally disgusted by pregnancy, or put off by pregnancy – I found that so strange to me.”
