Lethbridge police are urging residents to take precautions after a series of thefts from cars in the Copperwood area.
Thieves made off with more than $10,000 worth of property last weekend and early Monday morning.
The articles were taken from unlocked vehicles along Firelight Way and Firelight Crescent.
Investigators say the culprits stole garage door openers from cars in order to gain entry to garages.
With the hot weather there are a lot more people on the street and police are warning motorists to be extra vigilant about locking car doors and securing windows. Police are also suggesting motorists not leave valuables in their vehicles.
Anyone with information about the thefts is asked to contact Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or online at tipsubmit.com.
