PHOTOS: Fires create haze blanketing B.C. in sea of yellow and orange

Sandee Dupas - New Westminster.

In theory, the skies over British Columbia are blue.

But for most people this evening, they’re orange and yellow.

Massive fires in the Pemberton area, along with smaller blazes near Port Alberni and Sechelt, have created a yellow haze that stretches from Metro Vancouver to the middle of Vancouver Island.

It’s caused an air quality advisory for Metro Vancouver and the Sunshine Coast.

It’s also prompted many British Columbians to pick up their cameras and send photos of their unique landscapes to us. Here are 20 of them.
