The office also says it is in the process of setting up a permanent representative in Israel.

Wynne says Ontario has worked with Israel for years – including a recently renewed memorandum of understanding – on research and development projects.

She is expected to visit Jerusalem and Tel Aviv to meet business and government leaders during the trip.

Wynne says the mission will strengthen ties with Israel.
