Missing Saskatchewan woman found dead

UPDATE: Police continue to look for leads into the death of Danielle Nyland

SHELLBROOK, Sask. – RCMP say a missing Saskatchewan woman was found dead Friday. The body of Danielle Nyland, 22, was located around 6:25 p.m. in a wooded area east of Shellbrook, Sask.

An autopsy has been scheduled for June 22.

Investigators determined she was at a social gathering in the East Flats area of Prince Albert in the early hours of June 8 and then in the Shellbrook area around 7:30 a.m.

Nyland’s cellphone was found at the end of a driveway at a residence around 9.5 kilometres east of Shellbrook. Her body was found by RCMP searchers approximately 500 metres south of where her cellphone was located.

The investigation is ongoing.
