MONTREAL — Imagine having a relaxing, calming massage. Now imagine the person giving you the massage is getting a little too intimate.

This is exactly what happened to a Montreal-area woman last fall and Montreal police are now looking for possible victims of a masseur accused of inappropriate and non-consensual sexual contact with his clients.

On Sept. 28, Élie Edery came to a home in Westmount to provide massage therapy services. However, during the massage, the suspect allegedly committed acts of a sexual nature without the consent of his client.

The 55-year-old was arrested on Apr. 29 and will face sexual assault charges.

Following a second arrest after allegedly re-offending on May 19, Montreal police are concerned there may be further potential sexual assault victims.

They’ve released photos of the suspect and are asking those who believe they may have had contact with Edery to contact police by calling 9-1-1 to file a formal complaint.
