TORONTO — As the Canadian Grand Prix gets underway in Montreal, the seller of a luxury home in the city is offering a special bonus with purchase — an Italian sportscar.
The 13-room home at 41 Roxborough Avenue in Westmount is being sold with a 2011 Maserati Quattroporte in the two-car garage.
“Competition is fierce for luxury homes on the market in Montreal and the owners decided to offer an added value,” explained real estate broker Christina Miller of Profusion Realty, in a release. “It’s a good idea.”
Miller said the car, with only 23,000 kilometres on the odometer, is worth $170,000 new. (According to Kelley Blue Book Canada, a 2011 Maserati is currently worth a little more than $64,000.)

The 533.5-square-metre home, built in 1959, has five bedrooms and eight bathrooms and boasts a 4,000-bottle wine cellar, gym, sauna, and billiard room. The 800-square-metre lot has an in-ground swimming pool.
The property is currently listed at $3.5 million — down $495,000 from the original list price. Taxes last year were a little under $40,000.

Public records indicate the registered owner of the home is Juanita Colleen Hudson, wife of Haivision founder Miroslav Wicha.
Miller said she will donate an unspecified portion of her brokerage fee to the Cedar’s Cancer Centre at MUHC in the buyer’s name.
