Alberta Sports Hall of Fame inducts class of 2015

WATCH ABOVE: Alberta Sports Hall of Fame welcomes 2015 inductees

CALGARY – One team and eleven people who’ve left a sports legacy in the province were inducted into the Alberta Sports Hall of Fame on Friday.

Among them, many familiar faces from the Calgary Flames, legendary NHL trainer Jim “Bearcat” Murray, and former “Voice of the Flames,” Peter Maher.

Both Murray and Maher told Global News it’s a huge honour, and being inducted together makes it much more special.

Here’s a list of the 2015 inductees:
