Calgary police search for truck in connection with break and enters

Calgary police are asking for help from the public in tracking down a truck believed to be involved in two break and enters last weekend, both of them in the city’s southwest.

The first break-in happened early in the morning in Bridlewood on Sunday, May 24.

At about 5:30 a.m., someone tried to get into a home through an open garage door, but fled when an alarm went off.

Half an hour later, police believe the same person broke into a home in Sundance through a garage. The burglar made off with a purse and two wallets.

In both cases, an older-model, white Ford F250 truck with a green stripe along the sides was seen fleeing the area.  Police say the truck has body damage in several areas; it has a metal rack frame around the truck bed and a tailgate ramp.
