WINNIPEG – Anton and Emile, two 10-month-old harbour seals from Germany, have been added to the Assiniboine Park Zoo’s centrepiece Journey to Churchill exhibit.
The two young seals join Neptune, the Winnipeg zoo’s only surviving seal, at the zoo. A second seal, Caelum, died in November after getting trapped in an underwater drain. Both Neptune and Caelum were blind seals from the Vancouver Aquarium.

The first 500 visitors to the zoo on Friday, Saturday and Sunday were to get a free seal pin to celebrate the new seals’ arrival.
