Halifax police investigate another incident of nail found in a potato

HALIFAX – Halifax Regional Police are investigating another incident involving a metal object in a potato.

They say a woman called police on May 28 to report that she had found a nail inside a potato she had cooked.

Police say the woman bought the bag of River Valley potatoes at a Giant Tiger location three to four weeks ago.

It’s the latest in a series of incidents across the Maritimes.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency recently issued a recall for several brands.
