Attempted murder charge laid after reported shooting in Sask.

ROSE VALLEY, Sask. – Two people are facing charges after a report of shots being fired last weekend in Saskatchewan. At around 11 p.m. on May 24, officers were called to the complaint on Yellow Quill First Nation.

RCMP say a woman was injured and taken to hospital.

On Monday, a 31-year-old man and a 23-year-old woman were apprehended near Saskatoon.

Simon Dominic Bako is facing charges including attempted murder and 10 weapon and firearms related offences. Natasha Alexis Quinn Ahpay has been charged with accessory to attempted murder.

Both have been remanded to appear in Saskatoon court Thursday for a show cause hearing.

The investigation is ongoing.

Yellow Quill First Nation is approximately 195 kilometres east of Saskatoon.
