On your mark. Get Set. Let’s Giv’er! That’s the slogan for the 12th running of the wildly popular Blue Nose Marathon set to hit downtown Halifax this weekend. At 7:45 a.m. we’ll meet the organizers behind one of the charity components to this year’s race – Shoe Mountain. The goal is to get runners to donate gently worn sneakers to help people in need in our city.

Fozzie Bear will make an appearance on the show at 8:15 a.m., along with master puppeteer Terry Angus, who reflects on working with the late Jim Henson. The Dart Gallery’s Jane MacDougald joins us to talk about a new exhibit No Strings Attached that pays tribute the creative genius of Henson. It’s going to be a wonderful interview!

At 8:45 a.m. we’ll have some cute kittens at the red table! May 15th kicks off the start of kitten season and PetSmart charities are hosting an adoption weekend to help find all kittens a home. We’ll get all the details and meet some kittens that are up for adoption!
