HALIFAX – Halifax police re-opened a section of Robie Street on Tuesday afternoon after determining a suspicious package was not dangerous.

Officers responded after a report of an unattended backpack in the 2700 block of the street and shut down the area for precautionary reasons.
Further investigation revealed the backpack contained clothing and other items, and police re-opened the street a short time later.
