Shakespeare By The Sea knows the show must go on, but it would be easier to plan for the future with a proper rehearsal and theatre space.  At 7:15 a.m. Artistic Director Elizabeth Murphy joins us to talk about plans for the upcoming season and an important vote by Halifax council Tuesday.

At 7:45 a.m. we welcome back Tino Klironomos of PC Medic for the ever popular Tech Talk segment on The Morning News. This week Tino is bringing along a collection of “out of the ordinary” gadgets that can make life just a little easier.

At 8:15 a.m. we’ll be talking about a Maritime Favourite: Seafood Chowder! Chef Roland Glauser, of Charlottetown Lane,  took the win for the best seafood chowder at the Saltscapes 2015 Chowder Cook-Off. He’ll give us the inside scoop on just what goes into Nova Scotia’s best seafood chowder.

It’s one of the best weeks of the year in Halifax as the annual Bluenose Marathon is set to roll this weekend and at 8:45 a.m. we’ll meet a runner with an inspiring story. Dartmouth native Jennifer Lewandowski is on a mission to run 12 marathons in 12 months in an effort to raise funds for the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation. The mission is also the subject of her blog entitled Pacing in Pink.
