UPDATE: Missing woman found in West Vancouver

UPDATE: According to the West Vancouver Police, Ineke Berbeek has been located in the British Properties safe and sound.

VANCOUVER — North Shore Rescue is asking for the public’s help searching for an elderly woman with dementia.

Ineke Berbeek is 76 years-old, with a medium build and grey hair. She was last seen around 4:00 p.m. today in the 100 block of Bonnymuir Drive in West Vancouver.

She was wearing a red fleece, pink t-shirt, jeans, a khaki sunhat and blue slippers. She also wears a wanderers’ bracelet.

“This call is urgent and we are asking for the public’s assistance in searching their own back yards and neighbourhoods,” according to this release. “It is a beautiful night for a walk, and we would appreciate all the assistance we can get to find Ms. Berbeek as soon as possible.”
