EDMONTON – A 53-year-old man has been charged in connection with the alleged sexual assault of a 14-year-old girl.
The incident happened around 11 p.m. on Sept. 16, 2014. The teen told police a vehicle circled the block several times before she was approached and repeatedly offered a ride. After a man convinced her to get in his vehicle, she was threatened at knife point and sexually assaulted, the girl reported.
Miron Pekar has been charged with sexual assault with a weapon, sexual interference and uttering threats.
The EPS believes there may be witnesses, other victims or other people who were approached by Pekar, particularly young women.
