Vancouver Sun Run 2015 brings thousands of runners to downtown streets

WATCH: The annual Vancouver Sun Run has become a spring rite of passage. This year, nearly 41 thousand people ran through the streets of Vancouver in the biggest organized run in the country. Jennifer Palma has the sunny highlights.

The 2015 Vancouver Sun Run took place in downtown Vancouver Sunday.

Nearly 41,000 runners took part in the 2015 edition of the annual 10K run.

The Sun Run began at 8:40 a.m. with the competitive wheelchair category and most runners starting at 9:00 a.m.

Luke Puskedra was the winner of the men’s category with a time of 28 minutes and 53 seconds, while Risper Gesabwa was the winner of the women’s category with a time of 32 minutes and 28 seconds.
