CALGARY – The city has received an illegal dumping complaint about one of its food trucks.
Inner city resident Sara tells Global News she saw the Mighty Skillet truck in the back alley of her condo building last weekend, pouring liquid into a storm drain.

“I took photographs. Unfortunately, I couldn’t quite capture the liquid coming out of the bottom of the truck. I didn’t have a good angle and didn’t want to be seen but absolutely they were dumping.”
The owners of the Mighty Skillet deny her claims, saying they empty their grey water into a catch basin in their garage or safe disposal sites.
Owner Billy MacDonald says Sara may have seen some water dripped off the truck after they emptied their waste water tanks inside the garage.
Sara has reported the incident to Bylaw Services; if found guilty, the business will face a $3,000 fine for illegal dumping in storm drains.
