Magnitude 4.8 earthquake occurs off coast of Vancouver Island

A magnitude 4.8 earthquake occurred Wednesday afternoon off the coast of Vancouver Island.

Natural Resources Canada said that the earthquake occurred at 12:22 p.m. PST about 151 km south-southwest of Port Hardy.
